Woodforest is a vibrant new master planned community with a broad array of housing choices targeted to lifestyle-oriented buyers. The 2,800-acre community will offer homes priced from the upper $100’s to $1 million. A substantial number of homesites will be adjacent to lakes, streams, greenbelts, nature preserves and the 27-hole Woodforest Golf Club. The master plan calls for more than 6,000 residential units, a full complement of retail and commercial properties, sites for places of worship, an elementary school and a fire station. The development’s land plan will take advantage of the community’s gently rolling, heavily forested terrain, including more than 500 acres that will be preserved in their natural state for passive recreational use. An aquatics and tennis center, as well as parks and playgrounds will cater to more active pursuits.

The proximity of Woodforest to existing retail, commercial and recreation is an added benefit for residents, with South Montgomery County shopping, dining, cultural arts and entertainment all within easy reach. Several major hospitals are close to the community, including St. Luke’s and Memorial Hermann, and Lake Conroe offers nearby boating and water sports. Woodforest will be served by both the Montgomery Independent School District and the Conroe Independent School District.

Planning and design is well underway for Woodforest, a vibrant new master-planned community with a broad array of housing choices targeted to lifestyle-oriented buyers in the Conroe area. Construction should begin by the end of this year, with the first sections of homesites being substantially complete by the end of 2008.
